Job summary

Capital One in New York seeks a Senior Associate Compliance Tester to support the second line of defense by executing complex risk-based compliance reviews and validating adherence to laws and regulations across the business.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of Compliance professionals to monitor lines of business against Capital One's risk management framework, focusing on data testing, automation, and documentation retention. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
• At least 2 years of experience in audit, compliance, risk management, control or transaction reviews.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
• Proficiency with Google G-Suite and Reveal; experience with SQL and Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of business processes and related regulatory and compliance standards.
• Obtain and analyze data to support improvements in internal programs and testing.
• Manage schedules to ensure timely results and proper documentation in systems of record.
• Assist with assessment plans while identifying opportunities to test in high risk areas.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Compliance Advisors and Business Areas.
• Support compliance audits and exams as needed.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.
• Exercise professional skepticism and judgement.
