Job summary

Capital One in Wisconsin seeks a seasoned Compliance Testing Leader to oversee a multi-tier testing program across US Card, Business Card, and related lines. You will guide rapid response testing, control reviews, and coordinate testing calendars and resources.

Candidates should bring 4+ years in compliance testing or audit, 4+ years of people management, and hands-on data analytics with Python and SQL. A Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees or CRCM certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience required.
• At least 4 years in Compliance Testing, Risk Management, Compliance Monitoring, or Audit.
• At least 4 years of people management experience or leading teams or projects.
• Experience with cloud data structures and data analytics, including AI, preferred.
• Certifications such as CRCM are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-tiered Compliance Testing Team across US Card, Business Card and Payment, and Premium Product and Experience lines of business.
• Lead Rapid Response Testing focused on emerging risks, new products and processes, and other high-priority areas.
• Lead Compliance Control Reviews assessing the design and operating effectiveness of first-line controls.
• Assist with development, management, and execution of the Compliance Testing Calendar.
• Align resources for timely and accurate test execution.
• Ensure teams have tools, training, and information access needed to execute testing effectively.
• Support strategic transformation by expanding testing through technology solutions and reviewing process and tool effectiveness.
• Explore and quickly grasp new technologies to advance initiatives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Compliance Advisors and business areas.
• Elevate substantive testing issues to senior management.
• Communicate test results and testing procedure or process changes.
• Create and provide result reports to Accountable Executives, Senior Compliance Officers, and the CCO.
• Oversee and manage responses for testing-related audits or examinations, as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience
• At least 4 years of experience in Compliance Testing, Risk Management, Compliance Monitoring, or Audit
• At least 4 years of people management experience or experience leading teams or projects
• At least 1 year of cloud data structure, data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence experience

• Preferred: Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate degree
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience at a financial institution in Compliance Testing, Risk Management, Compliance Monitoring, or Audit
• Preferred: 5+ years of people management experience, including leading a multi-team organization
• Extensive knowledge or experience with consumer regulations and related business processes
• Superb verbal and written communication skills, including communicating complex analysis clearly and concisely and creating senior-level reports
• Compliance-related certifications, such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
• Experience engaging with analytics, product, and technology teams to lead intent
• Experience scripting in Python and SQL, such as testing full populations for key attributes
