Job summary

Tanknology is seeking a Field Service Technician Apprentice in the Provo area to learn via an apprentice-style program until certified. You will work on job sites, perform leak tests on tanks and piping, install equipment, and record results using TANCS while gaining hands-on experience.

The role emphasizes physical capability, DOT screening readiness, and the ability to travel across states as needed. Starting environment includes company-provided tools and comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades preferred.
• Willingness to undergo DOT physical, drug screening, DMV check and background check.
• Ability to travel across multiple states with overnight stays when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and surveys.
• Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems.
• Install equipment and test tank gauge systems.
• Enter and analyze test results, communicating findings to the Operations team.
• Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on your company vehicle.

Position Overview:

As a Field Service Technician Apprentice, you will learn through an apprentice-style program until you are certified. You'll work on job sites, performing various testing, installations, and repairs, while using our proprietary software, TANCS, to record your findings.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site assessments and surveys
• Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems
• Install equipment and test tank gauge systems
• Enter and analyze test results, communicating findings to the Operations team
• Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on your company vehicle

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades (HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electricians, carpenters, or cable technicians preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, bending, kneeling)
• Willingness to undergo DOT physical, drug screening, DMV check, and background check
• Ability to travel across multiple states, occasionally staying overnight (hotel and generous per diem provided)
