Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Technical Developer / Analyst to design, configure, and support compliance and financial crime tech solutions. You will work with Compliance, Operations, Risk Management, and Technology teams to deliver secure and scalable screening capabilities.

The role covers sanctions screening, PEP checks, adverse media monitoring, and regulatory programs, with emphasis on integration, data mapping, and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, data analytics, or related field.
• 5-7 years in application development, systems implementation, and support in financial domains.
• Strong Unix, Windows Server, SQL, data analysis, troubleshooting, and support skills.
• Experience with sanctions compliance, watchlist screening, adverse media monitoring, and false positives reduction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and translate into technical designs.
• Configure, develop, test, and support LexisNexis compliance products (sanctions, PEP, adverse media).
• Support AI model implementation and ongoing maintenance.
• Design data mappings, workflows, and API integrations between platforms.
• Conduct root cause analysis, defect resolution, and production support.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Ops, and Tech stakeholders on enhancements.
• Support SIT/UAT, performance testing, and deployments.
• Ensure compliance with controls, security, governance, and data policies.
