Job summary

Amazon Global Logistics is seeking a Compliance Specialist to own daily customs clearance operations for ocean, air, rail, and truck cross-border shipments. You will manage data, file drawback entries, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced international logistics environment.

Responsibilities include data collection and reconciliation, audit readiness, and maintaining accurate records to support drawback claims.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, import/export operations, or data entry/data administration experience
  • Knowledge of Excel at a basic level (e.g., UX navigation, math & logical functions, lookup functions)
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
  • Experience performing accurate data entry and analysis

  • Drawback Entry Filing & Operations - Prepare and file duty drawback entries with CBP in accordance with 19 USC §1313
  • Validate import and export data to establish drawback eligibility
  • Submit timely filings within statutory deadlines
  • Data Management & Analysis - Collect, reconcile, and maintain import/export datasets to support drawback claims
  • Identify data gaps or discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve
  • Build and maintain tracking reports for drawback claim status and recovery amounts
  • Perform data validation and quality checks prior to filing
  • Regulatory & Compliance - Support audit readiness by maintaining organized filing records and documentation

Amazon's Cross Border team is responsible for providing customers a one-stop shop for international transportation service, providing end-to-end supply chain solutions. We are seeking a customer-centric individual who wants to be part of this journey and manage daily operational tasks and customer queries.

A Compliance Specialist owns daily operations for customs clearance on ocean, air, rail, and truck cross-border shipments.

Key job responsibilities
  • Drawback Entry Filing & Operations - Prepare and file duty drawback entries with CBP in accordance with 19 USC §1313 - Validate import and export data to establish drawback eligibility - Submit timely filings within statutory deadlines

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, transporation, supply chain, or business
  • Licensed customs broker
  • Experience in international logistics, cross-border transportation and supply chain, or U.S. Customs rules and regulations
  • Experience in customs
