Job summary

Venture Together, Inc. in Nanuet, NY seeks a Compliance Specialist to support its Corporate Compliance Program, assisting in implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of compliance activities to meet federal and state laws governing OPWDD funded services.

You will conduct audits, monitor activities, support investigations, track corrective action plans, analyze compliance data, and educate staff to promote ethics and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, quality assurance, auditing, or regulatory oversight.
• Experience within OPWDD or Medicaid-funded services strongly preferred.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, and compliance monitoring activities preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

The Compliance Specialist supports the organization’s Corporate Compliance Program by assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of compliance activities designed to ensure adherence to federal and state laws, regulations, and organizational policies governing OPWDD funded services. This role is responsible for conducting audits and monitoring activities, supporting investigations, tracking corrective action plans, analyzing compliance data, facilitating staff education, and promoting a culture of ethics, accountability, and regulatory compliance.

The Compliance Specialist works collaboratively across departments to identify areas of risk, assess compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations, and support continuous quality improvement efforts. This position requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks applicable to OPWDD service providers.

The Compliance Specialist reports to the Chief Compliance and Quality Officer.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
