Job summary

A8 Core in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a senior Compliance lead to build and own the risk program across the platform. You will define onboarding, screening, and monitoring controls for clients, own the prohibited policy, and collaborate with Engineering to capture the evidentiary record required by regulators and partners.

You will drive audits, regulatory exams, and due-diligence activities, ensuring the program remains current with evolving rules and business needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in compliance or risk at a fintech, bank, or money-services business.
• Deep, hands-on command of BSA/AML, OFAC sanctions, and KYC/KYB.
• Working familiarity with fair lending (ECOA/Reg B) and UDAAP.
• A track record of building or substantially operating a compliance program, not just running parts of one.

Responsibilities

• Stand up and own A8 Core™’s compliance and risk program end to end.
• Define onboarding, screening, and monitoring controls for clients and accounts.
• Own the prohibited / restricted business policy and the decisions that flow from it.
• Partner with Engineering so the evidentiary record captures what examiners and partners require.
• Manage audits, exams, and partner due-diligence, and advise Product on regulatory requirements.
• Keep the program current as the platform and the regulatory landscape evolve.
