Our client is seeking a Compliance & Regulatory Counsel for a remote role focusing on regulatory compliance, privacy, and SaaS transactions. The position partners with cross‑functional teams to navigate global requirements, support day‑to‑day operations, customer diligence, and governance needs.

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only; compensation: $180,000–$200,000 annually. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.M. with active US state bar membership in good standing.
• 5+ years of legal practice in regulatory compliance, data privacy, and cloud/SaaS transactions.
• Working knowledge of tech and privacy regulations, including GDPR and GLBA, and interest in emerging frameworks.
• Proven project management skills with multi-stakeholder workflows and tight deadlines.
• Experience in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, or technology organizations is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Research and advise on global regulatory frameworks affecting SaaS operations.
• Guide responses for security questionnaires and customer due diligence requests.
• Translate complex legal and technical information into clear documentation.
• Partner with teams to manage regulatory and privacy risks, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Draft and update data privacy agreements and standard contractual clauses.
• Coordinate corporate governance programs and facilitate compliance training.
• Serve as legal contact for audits and manage documentation for compliance.

This remote role will focus on advising the business on regulatory compliance, privacy, and commercial legal matters tied to a cloud and SaaS environment. The position partners closely with cross-functional teams to help the organization navigate global requirements while supporting day-to-day operations, customer diligence, and governance needs. It is a strong opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys translating complex legal and technical issues into practical guidance for a technology business. The role also involves helping manage compliance documentation, audits, and training programs, with an emphasis on reducing risk and enabling the business to move efficiently.
