Description

Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union is looking for a dedicated and detail-orientedCompliance Officer 1to join our growing team in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

The Compliance Officer 1 is responsible for keeping Pacific Crest in a position to further the mission of providing our members and communities with the opportunity to prosper through collaborative development and maintenance of policy, procedures, and processes that are efficient and effective in providing members with a Crest Experience, while mitigating regulatory/legal, financial, and reputational risks.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate the development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of all aspects of the PCFCU Compliance program.
  • Support teams throughout the organization with analyzing existing regulations and remaining up to date on regulatory changes.
  • Support the Administrative Support manager in reviewing credit union policies and procedures for compliance risk.
  • Assist the team with conducting reviews of marketing materials.
  • Provide assistance with audits and exams and ensure any subsequent findings or deficiencies are addressed.
  • Support the Bank Secrecy Officer.
  • Take ownership of personal development by leveraging monthly coaching and participating in continuing education to qualify for a Compliance Officer 2.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Two to five years of compliance or related experience preferred

  • Cooperative, positive attitude with sound interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent Technical skills

  • Self-Motivated to learn and grow within the position

  • Proven attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

  • Enjoys reading technical documents, comprehending and communicating the information

Special Factors and Physical Demands

  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds

  • Stooping; kneeling; crouching; and reaching below, at, and over shoulder level required

  • Sitting – 80%; standing and walking - 20%

  • Hearing, visual, and verbal ability required.
