Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitor changes to federal and North Carolina healthcare regulations, Medicaid requirements, payer policies, and other requirements affecting agency operations
• Research regulatory and compliance questions and provide clear guidance to leadership
• Conduct routine internal compliance audits of employee, client, service, credential, training, and operational records
• Lead compliance meetings and present regulatory updates to staff and leadership
• Assist with staff training on policies, procedures, documentation standards, HIPAA, Medicaid requirements, and other compliance topics
• Review and help maintain agency policies, SOPs, forms, and compliance documentation
• Identify compliance deficiencies and assist with developing and monitoring corrective action plans
• Track corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved and properly documented
• Assist with incident, complaint, and internal investigation processes
• Monitor credentialing, required documentation, training, and recordkeeping compliance
• Help prepare the agency for Medicaid, payer, state, accreditation, and other regulatory audits or reviews
• Maintain organized documentation and compliance records to support audit readiness
• Work with leadership to strengthen systems and reduce compliance risks across the agency

NuLook Home Care Agency is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to help ensure our agency remains compliant with federal, state, Medicaid, payer, and internal requirements.

We are looking for someone who does more than identify problems. This person should be comfortable researching regulations, communicating changes to leadership and staff, conducting meetings and trainings, completing audits, and helping the agency put corrective measures into place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, home care, behavioral health, compliance, quality assurance, auditing, or a related field strongly preferred
