Buffalo Run Casino & Resort in Miami, Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to ensure the casino operates within all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

You will act as the designated BSA compliance officer, lead audits, review CTRs/SARs, train staff on Title 31 requirements, and maintain accurate policies and files while coordinating with regulators and guests.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain a Gaming License.
  • Experience in auditing or regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Strong writing and policy development abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure casino operations comply with federal, state, and tribal regulations.
  • Act as the designated BSA compliance officer and liaison for audits.
  • Review CTRs and SARs in accordance with FinCEN standards.
  • Conduct Title 31 training for gaming operations staff.
  • Develop, update, and maintain internal control policies and files.
  • Assist in general audit functions and respond to regulator inquiries.

Summary of Duties:

Position Purpose:

To ensure that the Casino operates within all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Act as the designated BSA compliance officer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Assemble and maintain an accurate and current library of Federal, State, and Tribal regulatory requirements for Indian Gaming.
  • Serve as a gaming operation liaison for compliance audits and official visits from regulatory agencies.
  • Formulate and execute audit work plans, including scope, techniques, and timelines within the constraints of the audit.
  • Performs periodical audits and follow-up audits of all gaming areas of the casino operations.
  • Fulfill day-to-day operations of compliance, including timely review of MTLs and detailed transaction reports.
  • Review and submit CTRs and SARs in accordance with FinCEN standards. Act as the main point of contact for all Casino team members regarding Compliance and Title 31 requirements and concerns.
  • Collects and analyzes data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with gaming regulations, laws, internal controls, or policies.
  • Review, recommend, and execute changes to internal control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct compliance/Title 31 training for gaming operations team members.
  • Assist in general audit functions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate policies, procedures, and organized files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/ Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college education is preferred.
  • At least 2 years previous auditing and/ or regulatory compliance experience or combination of experience and education required.
  • Requires prior technical writing experience preferred with policies.
Work Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  • Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily.
  • Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
