Job Title: Vice President

Department: Compliance Engineering

Reports To: Managing Director, COO of Compliance Engineering

Summary:

The employee will oversee the Compliance Engineering communication strategy and manage all internal and external communications from the organization. This role ensures clear, concise, and effective communication of Compliance Engineering strategies, initiatives, and updates to senior management, the Board of Directors, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing, presentation, and communication skills, with a strong understanding of Compliance Engineering within the financial services industry.

While primarily focused on communications, the role also involves some technical project management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Execute Communication Strategies: Define and implement tailored communication strategies for stakeholders including senior executives, regulatory agencies, and the Board. Improve communication efficiency and effectiveness, and adopt best practices in stakeholder engagement.
  2. Prepare Reports and Presentations: Create high-quality, accurate, and visually engaging reports, presentations, and briefings on Compliance Engineering topics.
  3. Regulatory Correspondence: Manage responses to regulatory inquiries, examinations, and audits, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
  4. Senior Management Updates: Regularly inform senior management about key projects, risks, and regulatory changes, translating technical details into understandable language.
  5. Board Communications: Develop presentations on compliance strategies, risk management, and KPIs for the Board.
  6. Investment Memos: Collaborate with managers to produce technical memos for engineering investment approvals.
  7. Internal Communications: Manage townhalls and internal messaging for Compliance Engineering teams.
  8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordination.
  9. Content Management: Maintain a central repository of communications, ensuring version control and compliance.
  10. Crisis Communication: Support communication planning during compliance incidents or crises.
  11. Project Management: Oversee infrastructure projects within Compliance Engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Communications, Journalism, or related; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in financial services or communications.
  • Experience in developing engineering communication strategies for management and regulators.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills for complex technical info.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance engineering, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, global environment.
