Job summary

Kaweah Health is seeking a compliance professional to lead investigations, audits, and reporting across the organization in Visalia, CA. The role involves developing training materials, advising management, and evaluating processes for risk mitigation and ongoing compliance.

You will support annual compliance planning, assist with audits, and collaborate with committees to ensure regulatory adherence and program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in health care, accounting, business or related field.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in healthcare compliance, patient privacy, HR, Finance, or Revenue Cycle.
• License/Certification (Preferred): Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC).
• Three years of management experience preferred.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support internal compliance investigations and audits throughout Kaweah Health, compiling detailed reports with recommendations to the Compliance Officer, Management, Executive Leadership, and the Board of Directors.
• Develop compliance and privacy training materials and perform ongoing compliance training throughout Kaweah Health.
• Provide ongoing advice and consulting resources to Management.
• Evaluate operational processes and work with area management to implement improvements.
• Assist the Kaweah Health Compliance Officer with the development and implementation of the Annual Compliance Plan and the ongoing assessment of compliance risk mitigation strategies and issues.
• Assist external auditors as needed during the annual Financial Statement Audit.
• Lead and/or support regular compliance reviews and risk assessments.
• Complete and/or review audits within established timeframes and guidelines, analyze results, and prepare and present formal reports with findings and recommendations to the Compliance Officer for final review.
• Participate as an active member of designated Committees.
• Report on project findings and complete special projects, tasks, or reviews as assigned by the Committee.
• Assist the Kaweah Health Compliance and Privacy Officer in preparation for state and federal audits and reviews.
• Under direction, review Compliance policies and procedures and make recommendations for additions, revisions, and deletions.
• Provide support to other departments in the development of monitoring tools and protocols when requested.
• Direct and supervise all compliance personnel, including performance evaluations, training and orientation, mentoring, and oversight of project assignments and workload.
• Assist the Kaweah Health Compliance Officer in the daily operations of the Compliance Department.
• Assist the Kaweah Health Compliance and Privacy Officer in management of the Fair Market Value process, including data preparation and analysis, management, and review of Fair Market Valuations.
• Support the Kaweah Health Compliance and Privacy Officer in investigations and risk mitigation strategies for affiliated entities, including the Kaweah Health Medical Group.
• Provide support to other departments by researching laws and regulations, monitoring changes in laws and regulations, and communicating applicable changes to pertinent areas to ensure continued compliance.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.

Pay Range: $47.35 – $71.03 per hour.
