Job summary

Pacific International Executive Search seeks an experienced Compliance leader to oversee the organization’s program, in partnership with the General Counsel, ensuring integrity and full regulatory alignment across the business. The role drives a culture of compliance, leads internal audits, and coordinates training and documentation efforts.

The position includes developing risk mitigation plans, updating policies, and delivering regular ethics and compliance reports to executives, with emphasis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a culture of compliance and operational excellence; ability to influence and build consensus across the organization
  • Self-motivated with the ability to think creatively and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, meet multiple deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent strategic, organizational, communication, project management and problem- solving skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage discreetly and professionally any sensitive compliance issues

Responsibilities

  • In Partnership with the General Counsel, lead a comprehensive and effective compliance program that ensures business is conducted with integrity and adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including contractual commitments.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement of compliance controls to ensure effectiveness
  • Oversee reporting hotline and response process, in partnership with Sr. Compliance analyst
  • Oversee permitting and licensing in partnership with permit owners and Sr. Compliance analyst
  • Stay abreast of and advise on evolving regulatory trends, emerging risks, and customer expectations, and provide regular updates to company leadership and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address emerging risks
  • Coordinate with risk area owners to develop, update, and communicate compliance policies and procedures
  • Develop and lead the internal audit process, including with third-party auditors, to identify areas of potential vulnerability or areas for improvement
  • Develop corrective action plans for addressing compliance gaps, implement mitigation strategies, and monitor implementation and adherence
  • Define and oversee tools required to support compliance monitoring, document management, policy enforcement, vendor risk tracking, and audit readiness
  • Establish and maintain incident response frameworks and business continuity plans as it relates to compliance
  • Oversee training development and delivery to employees across the company
  • Oversee implementation of training update schedule, completions tracking, and audience identification process
  • Prepare regular reports for the General Counsel, Executive Leadership team, and other relevant stakeholders on ethics and compliance initiatives across the organization and other compliance metrics
