AmeriCorps & Senior Corps is seeking a Compliance Systems & Development VISTA to build grant compliance systems, enhance data management, and standardize documentation across departments. You will collaborate across teams to create scalable processes and sustainable resources that extend beyond the service year.

The role emphasizes research, collaboration, pilot implementation, and documentation to strengthen grant tracking, reporting, and internal communications within The Sanneh Foundation.

Job description

The Compliance Systems & Development VISTA will develop professional knowledge and transferable skills in nonprofit grant compliance, organizational development, data management, documentation, internal communications, and process improvement. Through research, assessment, collaboration, and pilot implementation, the VISTA will strengthen The Sanneh Foundation’s capacity to maintain grant requirements, track reporting obligations, standardize organizational documentation, and improve coordination across departments. Throughout the service year, the VISTA will:Develop an understanding of TSF’s organizational structure, funding portfolio, grant objectives, reporting requirements, and internal compliance practices by reviewing existing resources and collaborating with relevant staff and department leads.Assess current grant tracking, reporting, data management, and internal communication systems to identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities to improve consistency, accountability, and efficiency.Develop recommendations for standardized documentation practices, including naming conventions, data structures, quality standards, checklists, process maps, reference guides, and other compliance resources.Research and recommend approaches for improving data integration, reducing manual data entry, and supporting centralized dashboards and automated reporting workflows.Collaborate with relevant departments to develop standardized procedures and operational SOPs for grant data management, compliance tracking, reporting preparation, and workplan progress updates.Gather staff feedback, document pilot implementation challenges and lessons learned, and develop recommendations for improving the usability, effectiveness, and sustainability of compliance systems.Compile documentation, implementation guidance, and recommendations for continued development of grant tracking, data management, and compliance infrastructure beyond the VISTA service year.
