Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data analyst to develop and maintain SQL queries, validate data, and produce dashboards for compliance and operational reporting. You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues and support UAT.

The role requires 2–4 years in a financial setting, strong SQL and Excel skills, and experience with Tableau or Power BI. On-site in South Carolina, with English communication required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of data analyst experience in a financial setting.
• Strong SQL, including complex query development and performance optimization.
• Strong data quality validation, reconciliation, and exception analysis.
• Advanced Excel with pivots, formulas, and charts.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, R, or Python.
• Ability to translate business questions into testable logic and well-defined data populations.
• Clear written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• On-site work at the assigned office location and English communication proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL queries and population logic for validation and reporting.
• Build and document reproducible population definitions.
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliations.
• Execute control testing and ongoing monitoring.
• Analyze trends and identify compliance risk indicators and root cause analysis.
• Produce dashboards and management reporting using Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Partner with operations, Compliance, and Technology to fix data issues and implement durable fixes.
• Communicate analytical findings to leadership and exam support.
• Maintain knowledge of servicing processes and reporting.
• Support ad hoc analysis on segmentation, customer behavior, and performance improvements.
• Assist with UAT and regression testing for compliance-impacting changes.
