Job summary

Rite of Passage in Montgomery, AL seeks a Compliance Auditor to ensure state and federal licensing and Medicaid processes meet requirements. You will conduct internal monitoring, audits and risk assessments, prepare reports, and train staff.

The role partners with HR and external agencies, enforces policies, and supports CQI initiatives while maintaining confidentiality and high standards for staff and students.

Qualifications

  • Possess a High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 4 years of auditing and training experience or a related degree with 1 year of auditing/training.
  • Experience with state-specific Medicaid procedures.
  • Ability to learn Rite of Passage systems to train staff.
  • Knowledge of company operations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain a driver’s license with clean record and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and implements all licensing requirements per state guidelines.
  • Attends all integrated monitoring by QA and licensing agencies.
  • Conducts quarterly internal audits with follow-up within one week.
  • Partners with HR in areas of Risk Management for the site.
  • Conducts internal monitoring, auditing and periodic risk assessments.
  • Oversees the program CQI process.
  • Ensures Medicaid billing and documentation accuracy, audits Medicaid Clinic Option documentation.
  • Prepares required reports (monthly KPI, Quality and Assurance, CQI).
  • Provides training and maintains high standards of confidentiality and compliance.

Job description


  • Understands and implements all licensing requirements per state guidelines.

  • Attends all integrated monitoring by the ROP Quality Assurance Team and licensing agencies.

  • Conducts quarterly internal standard audits with a subsequent follow up to ensure all employees are trained and aware of all licensing, state and federal regulations including PREA. Each internal audit and follow up should take no longer than one week.

  • Partners with HR in areas of Risk Management for the site.

  • Conducts internal monitoring, auditing and periodic risk assessments to ensure all employees are trained and aware of all licensing, state and federal regulations including PREA.

  • Oversees the program CQI process.

  • Works with external agencies and supports internal departments through policies and training to ensure compliance of regulations and ROP Policies.

  • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops corrective action plans.

  • Administers a comprehensive program to ensure regulatory and licensing compliance.

  • Conducts a yearly review of the Administrative Policy and Procedure Manual and Operation Manuals at all to ensure policies are up to date.

  • Ensures the safety, health and welfare of staff and students at all times.

  • Provides encouragement, guidance and resources to staff and students when needed.

  • Models and ensures all program norms are upheld without compromise.

  • Acts as a positive role model and mentor for both staff and students.

  • Treats others with respect, confronts negative behavior and supports confrontations.

  • Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations. Examples of reports: monthly Key Performance Benchmark report, Quality and Assurance and CQI reports.

  • Ensures Medicaid billing and documentation is accurate and timely, audits Medicaid Clinic Option documentation and compares the documentation to the Medicaid billing.

  • Complies with and implements the Rite of Passage Policies and Procedures, OPS manuals and standards of conduct as detailed in the appropriate manuals/handbooks.

  • Ensures the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains in compliance with agency licensing and Rite of Passage policies and procedures. Monitors and reports on site compliance with Rite of Passage mission, values, and policies and procedures.

  • Assists with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts.

  • Attends and participates in all required meetings.

  • Provides pre-service training for all new employees.

Commits to providing training and staff development classes in order to ensure sufficient hours.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Possess a High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

  • At least 4 years of experience in auditing and training or a Bachelor’s degree in related field and one year of experience in auditing and training.

  • Experience with and proficient in state-specific Medicaid procedures.

  • Ability to learn the ROP systems and programs and know such sufficiently in order to train staff.

  • Knowledge of overall company operations and policies and procedures.

  • Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.

  • Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.

  • Ability to perform work with little or no supervision.

  • Ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects.

  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.

  • Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week with the possibility of a varied schedule.

  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships.

  • Ability to provide exemplary customer service to all employees and outside constituents.
