Job description

TheCompliance Coordinator serves as a key member of the Program team. Thisposition is responsible for supporting the Program administrative team in theareas of compliance and standards and delivery of programs consistent with theagency's mission and strategic plan. The Compliance Coordinator is supervisedby and works directly with the Senior Director for Clinical and Compliance to ensurethat service delivery through case management is operated in compliance withagency policy, regulatory standards and contractual obligations. The ComplianceCoordinator works closely with other agency staff to identify and reduce risksassociated with the provision of services to children, youth and families.

The Compliance Coordinator must exhibit theintellectual and emotional maturity required to work in a ministry dedicated tohelping children and families facing challenging life circumstances. Thisposition requires respect and compassionate understanding for the children andfamilies served. The Compliance Coordinator must possess effective verbal andwritten communication skills. The Compliance Coordinator must maintain ahealthy value system, including moral and ethical behavior consistent with theagency's mission and core values. This position works collaboratively withothers and involves frequent contact with consumers, other agency staff,licensing authorities, contractual funding sources, accrediting bodies,community leaders and vendors. The Compliance Coordinator must understand and demonstrate competency in theevidence-based programs offered in the assigned areas, as well as policies,procedures, and standards.

DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

• Provideongoing support and direction to staff to ensure a professional workenvironment.
• Maintain compliance with applicableprofessional licensing, state licensing, and accreditation standards.
• Assist with identifying and reducing risk associated with clientservice delivery.
• Manageagency funds, resources, and equipment according to agency policy andprocedures.
• Assistwith evaluation and continuous quality improvement process for assignedarea.
• Assist withupdating and developing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Assist witheffective implementation of agency policy, regulatory standards and contractualobligations.
• Assist with audits, accreditationsand regulation requirements.
• Workcollaboratively in a proactive and positive manner with otherdepartments.
• Followagency policies regarding the solicitation and receipt ofdonations.
• Representprogram at agency functions, activities, and events.
• Representagency at community functions, activities, and events.
• Completerequired documentation.
• Ensureall facilities and equipment are clean, organized and maintained.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a professional position.This position requires work after normal office hours, during the weekend or onholidays. Availability during the normal business hours of the agency isrequired to be available for consultation and to perform administrativefunctions. Out-of-town and overnight travel are also required. An automobilefor in-town and out-of-town travel is required. Mileage reimbursement isprovided for use of personal automobileforapproved business purposes. A cell phone is required, and a stipend is providedto offset the business use of the cell phone.

EDUCATION/ LICENSURE

A bachelor's degree is requiredand a master's degree is preferred.

TRAINING

Training hours must be completed annually to comply withlicensing and accreditation standards, as well as MCH policy. The employee'ssupervisor may require additional training to meet specific job requirements orenhance professional growth. Completion of training requirements is mandatoryfor continued employment. The Compliance Coordinator must be at least 21 yearsof age and have a valid Texas Driver's License, an excellent driving recordthat meets the standards set forth by the liability insurance company andMethodist Children's Home, no criminal history and acceptable references.
