DLA Piper is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to support the Office of General Counsel by coordinating administrative tasks for compliance operations and risk management. The role includes due diligence and first-level background check reviews in a fast-paced legal environment.

The Compliance Coordinator works in collaboration with the firm’s strategic initiatives, supporting the Office of General Counsel by coordinating administrative tasks for compliance operations and risk management, including due diligence activities.
Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and database experience. Office experience in a law firm or other legal environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with paralegals, attorneys and internal clients. Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail necessary to manage high volume of complex data. Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines. The work of the OGC is highly confidential in nature and the candidate for this position must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion with regard to the work being managed, as well as an acute awareness of how information is shared with others.
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement comprised of remote and in‑office work. The requirement will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified in the firm’s discretion in the future.

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $34.09 - $48.75 per hour depending on geographic market location. Non‑exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and paid overtime in accordance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.
