Job summary

Help At Home in New York, NY is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to support day-to-day compliance and quality activities across the market. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supports day-to-day compliance and quality activities across the New York market.
  • Prepares and maintains regulatory and payer compliance reports and docs.
  • Supports audits by gathering information, tracking findings, and follow-up.
  • Performs routine compliance monitoring to identify gaps and trends.
  • Escalates risks to leadership as appropriate.
  • Assists with incidents, complaints, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Maintains organized compliance records and documentation.
  • Participates in Quality and Compliance meetings and QAPI activities.
  • Supports certifications and accreditations including Joint Commission.
  • Other compliance and quality-related duties as assigned.

The Compliance Coordinator supports compliance and quality activities across the New York market to help ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, payer requirements, internal policies, and established best practices. Working in partnership with the Compliance Specialist, Quality and Compliance leadership, and market teams, this role provides day-to-day compliance support with a focus on reporting, audit support, compliance monitoring, documentation, and follow-up.

The Compliance Coordinator also provides additional compliance coverage for the market, helping identify potential gaps, maintain required documentation, and ensure compliance-related activities are completed accurately and timely.

We offer weekly pay between $80,000-$85,000 annually! Office hours Monday -Friday 8:30-5pm. The office address is: 148 39th St. Suite 19-4-BB Brooklyn, NY 11232.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Supports day-to-day compliance and quality activities across the New York market.
  • Prepares, completes, submits, and maintains required regulatory, payer, and internal compliance reports and documentation.
  • Supports internal and external audits by gathering and reviewing documentation, coordinating requested information, tracking findings, and supporting follow-up activities.
  • Conducts routine compliance monitoring and reviews to identify potential gaps, trends, and areas requiring additional follow-up.
  • Escalates identified compliance risks, concerns, and trends to the Compliance Specialist and/or Quality and Compliance leadership as appropriate.
  • Assists with follow-up related to incidents, complaints, audit findings, and other compliance matters.
  • Reviews compliance and operational reports and coordinates follow-up with market teams to address identified issues.
  • Assists with drafting responses to requests, complaints, and audits from payer partners and regulatory agencies, including the State Department of Health, Department of Labor, Office of Medicaid Inspector General, and others as required.
  • Supports implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, workflows, and documentation designed to promote compliance and quality outcomes.
  • Provides support to market teams regarding established compliance processes and requirements, escalating questions requiring additional interpretation or guidance.
  • Serves as additional compliance coverage and backup for the New York market as needed.
  • Supports corrective and preventive action activities, including documentation, tracking, and follow-up on assigned action items.
  • Supports activities related to the attainment and retention of certifications and accreditations, including Joint Commission.
  • Participates in Quality and Compliance meetings, QAPI activities, Quality and Governance meetings, and other compliance-related meetings as appropriate.
  • Maintains organized and accurate compliance records and ensures required documentation is completed and retained in accordance with established requirements.
  • Contributes to ongoing compliance, operational, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other compliance and quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with compliance, operations, and other functional partners.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements; home care experience preferred.
  • Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Excel and report generation. Experience with HHAExchange, Salesforce, or similar healthcare systems preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, compliance, legal studies, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in healthcare compliance, quality, regulatory operations, audit support, or a related healthcare environment preferred.
  • Home care experience preferred.
