Job summary

The State of Georgia Insurance Department is seeking a Compliance Business Analyst to review licensing compliance, process applications, and handle inquiries. This role supports licensees, applicants, and staff within a regulatory framework.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of job-related experience; or three (3) years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Review compliance with laws, rules and regulations in determining licensure eligibility and handling complaints.
• Process manufacturer, installer and retailer broker applications and renewal types.
• Evaluate, process, and manage applications and records for licensees and applicants.
• Serve as backup to receive, log, and investigate complaints related to licensing and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and process renewal applications within established timeframes.
• Prepare correspondence informing applicants of deficiencies and licensing decisions.
• Interpret and apply licensure laws to administrative issuance of licenses.
• Conduct initial review of applications within 10 working days of receipt.
• Provide technical assistance to customers and staff.
• Advise licensees and stakeholders regarding licensing, policies and procedures.
• Use independent judgment and knowledge of the law as it pertains to processing license requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
