THE POSITION

This position will be a member of a fantastic team of compliance professionals in FanDuel’s Risk Management team reporting to the Legal Operations Senior Manager to work on optimizing processes across our compliance teams, as well as engagement points across teams, among other things. In addition, the Compliance Associate will support with general process and operational enhancement, legal operations, and ensuring that confidentiality and other regulatory requirements are fulfilled at all times.

The ideal candidate for this role has worked in a highly regulated industry. Experience working in legal operations or for an internet, technology and/or media company, or with such companies, is a plus. That said, superior analytical, strategic, communication, and interpersonal skills are of paramount importance, as is a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a commitment to being a team player, and an aptitude to learn quickly the nuances of the internet, technology and media businesses.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Support the Legal Operations Senior Manager in effective administration of regulatory operations and delivery of key components of regulatory compliance programs
  • Support delivery of regulatory compliance operations within an evolving legal and regulatory landscape
  • Holistic and specific process and workflow management, both within the compliance team and cross-functionally
  • Evaluating and enhancing the processes/interactions between Legal, Risk, Compliance and other teams within a culture of compliance
  • Evaluate, design and implement metrics to show the Compliance function’s impact across the company

THE STATS

  • 2+ years working in a highly regulated industry; legal operations, tech company experience a plus
  • Effective writing and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for application of critical thinking to process execution, including identification of process improvements
  • Ability to understand nuances of process and think clearly about solutions for competing priorities and prioritise work
  • Posess a strong bias for action and can work independently
  • Ability to roll out new processes and implement change
  • Highly organised with delivery and BA experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, both orally and written
  • Passion to work hard in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • An exceptional team builder and team player
  • Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive
