Compliance Associate (New York, New York): Our client, a hedge fund with $7b+ in AUM, is seeking a compliance associate to join the GC/CCO. This new hire will play a key role in managing the firm’s compliance program and work directly with stakeholders at the firm.

Highlights:

• Opportunity to work #2 to the GC/CCO and be a true compliance generalist
• No shortage of exposure to compliance topics and opportunity to grow (there are no plans to hire over this individual)

Responsibilities:

• Review and vet experts for expert network calls and chaperone interactions
• Conduct testing including trade surveillance, expense reviews, political contributions, gifts and entertainment, research practices and social media searches
• Coordinate the firm’s annual compliance review
• Review marketing materials
• Assist with the preparation of regulatory filings
• Coordinate with the firm’s outsourced compliance consultants and vendors

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of work experience in a compliance role (hedge fund experience is a plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to evolve the role based on the needs of the firm
