Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Compliance and Licensing Analyst to support the development and implementation of the company's compliance and licensing program to join our Agency Growth Team (Corporate team). In this role you will assist with conducting agency audits, monitoring compliance with laws and regulations, providing administrative support to agencies and employees surrounding licensing, carrier appointment, and integration issues, and ensuring that employees understand their obligations related to compliance and licensing.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time, fully remote position, with an expectation of minimal travel for team and company sponsored meetings when required, which is 1-2 times a year.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Assist the compliance team, carrier team, agencies, and outside vendors with licensing and compliance issues and requests (including but not limited to sending requested licenses and documents and creating and distributing any applicable Certificates of Insurance)
  • Handle the onboarding and offboarding of new agencies and individual licensees
  • Work closely with third-party licensing vendors to manage complex licensing and compliance issues and to implement new processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Legal, HR, IT and Finance, to on-board new agencies successfully and to ensure that compliance risks are identified and addressed in a timely manner following integration
  • Conduct audits and/or risk assessments to identify areas of potential compliance risk and develop risk management strategies
  • Coordinate with third-party licensing vendors to address compliance and regulatory needs, ensuring timely processing of licenses and appointments.
  • Work closely with vendor partners to resolve licensing issues and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor compliance with laws and regulations, including internal policies and procedures
  • Analyze data related to compliance, including monitoring reports and audit findings, to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Other duties and projects assigned by the Compliance and Licensing Manager or Deputy General Counsel

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in the insurance industry
  • An active Insurance license in any state (EB or P&C) preferred but not required
  • Experience collaborating with third-party vendors to manage licensing and compliance operations preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines without requiring constant supervision
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to effectively manage communication, documentation, and reporting
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology platforms
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future

Compensation Range: A starting base salary in the $60,000 - $65,000 range, depending on the candidate’s experience. This position is also eligible for additional incentive compensation that is performance based.

*A wide salary range is posted for this position, and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
