Job Location: Remote (CST - Central Standard Time)

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST)

Hourly Rate: $8 per hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Insurance Licensing and Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining insurance licenses, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations, and assisting with various insurance-related administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the insurance industry and a strong understanding of licensing and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Maintain Insurance Licenses:
  • Ensure all insurance licenses are active and comply with state-specific requirements.
  • Track License Renewals and Continuing Education:
  • Monitor and process license renewals, continuing education (CE) requirements, and other regulatory filings for producers or the business entity.
  • Monitor Deadlines and Correspondence:
  • Respond to deadlines, notifications, and communications from state insurance departments and compliance agencies (e.g., NIPR, Sircon).
  • Prepare and Submit New License Applications:
  • Prepare, submit, and track new license applications for individuals or the agency as required.
  • Maintain Records of Licenses and Certifications:
  • Keep up-to-date and accurate records of licenses, certifications, and CE completions in a centralized database or tracking system.
  • Serve as the Point of Contact for Licensing Questions:
  • Act as the primary contact for inquiries related to licensing, audits, and regulatory updates.
  • Coordinate with Insurance Carriers and Agencies:
  • Work with insurance carriers, Managing General Agents (MGAs), and agencies to ensure proper appointments and compliance documentation.
  • Stay Informed of Legal Changes:
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in state insurance laws and regulations, and communicate any relevant updates to management.
  • Assist with Administrative Tasks:
  • Provide general administrative support related to insurance operations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in licensing and compliance.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with state insurance licensing laws, regulatory filings, and CE requirements.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills; attention to detail; ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Tools: Proficient with insurance licensing systems (e.g., NIPR, Sircon) and database management.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with state agencies and internal teams.
