Job summary

Onramp Bitcoin is seeking a compliance analyst to own and run the compliance program, including transaction monitoring, CDD/EDD reviews, and regulatory responses. You will work on a distributed team, handling AI automation and SOC 2 prep.

The role covers building and refining rules, managing KYC configurations, and partnering with regulators, with remote-first collaboration and the Bitcoin-only mission.

Qualifications

3–7 years in compliance in crypto/fintech.
Direct Bitcoin or digital asset experience.
Hands-on experience with KYC tooling and transaction monitoring.
Experience working remotely on high agency remote/async teams.
Strong written communication; drafting procedures and exam responses.

Responsibilities

Compliance Program Execution: transaction monitoring review, CDD/EDD, OFAC screening, SAR drafting, reporting.
Program Operations: manage compliance tech stack, SOC 2 evidence, vendor risk, policy maintenance.
Regulatory exam prep and regulator data requests.

About Onramp

Onramp Bitcoin is a leading Bitcoin-only financial services company supporting individuals, businesses, and institutions to secure their Bitcoin holdings via our multi-institutional custody solution. The Role

We need someone who can do substantive compliance analyst work and run compliance as a system - the tooling, workflows, data, and cadence. Most compliance hires can do either. This role needs both. On any given week, you might:

Investigate a transaction monitoring alert end-to-end, including blockchain analysis and SAR decisioning
Run a CDD/EDD review on a complex entity client - trust structure, beneficial ownership, source of funds
Build or refine an AI automation for a recurring compliance task
Manage Persona KYC configuration and tune rules
Drive a Vanta evidence gap to closure ahead of our SOC 2 Type II window
Stand up a new transaction monitoring rule, document the rationale, and operationalize it
Pull together the data and narrative for a regulator request

What You'll Do

Compliance Program Execution:

Transaction monitoring alert review
CDD/EDD case work, including entity onboarding and periodic reviews
OFAC and sanctions screening exceptions
SAR drafting (under CCO sign-off)
Compliance reporting and metrics

Program Operations:

Day-to-day administration of our compliance tech stack.
Evidence collection and control operation for SOC 2.
Vendor risk assessments
Procedure maintenance and version control across the compliance library
Independent review prep
Regulatory exam document production (we're in an active Title 31 exam right now - you'd plug in immediately)
Build AI-leveraged workflows that eliminate manual compliance work

What You'll Bring

Required Experiance & Skills:

3-7 years in compliance at a crypto, fintech, MSB, bank, or qualified custodian.
Direct Bitcoin, digital asset, or fintech compliance experience.
Hands-on experience with KYC tooling (Persona, Alloy, Sumsub, or similar) and transaction monitoring (Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, or comparable)
Experience working remotely on high agency remote/async teams.
Strong written communication. You'll draft procedures, exam responses, and client-facing compliance content.
AI tooling fluency.
SOC 2 program work - Vanta or equivalent
ACAMS, CRCM, or CFCS certification
