Job summary

The GEO Group seeks a Compliance and Accreditation Subject Matter Specialist to lead the Compliance Department, develop assessment tools, and guide audits to ensure adherence to guidelines. You will communicate rules to stakeholders and document findings, while supporting improvements.

You will also conduct daily reviews of security services, serve as back-up auditor for food service and healthcare, train staff, and ensure data reporting to accreditation bodies is accurate and timely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with three (3) years experience in a corrections, law enforcement or related capacity.
• Experience in compliance, accreditation, and quality management desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present to employees at all levels and write cohesive documentation.
• Travel up to 60% of the time may be required.
• Proficiency with computers and department software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret compliance and accreditation criteria based on organization, client, or third-party requirements.
• Ensure policies and procedures adhere to guidelines.
• Develop assessment tools to identify compliance issues; report findings and recommend improvements.
• Conduct daily reviews of security services.
• Serve as back-up auditor for food service and healthcare services.
• Supervise, train, and support other Compliance Auditors.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Collect and report facility data to accreditation organizations.
• Provide the facility with information on accreditation issues.
• Implement the Quality Control Program (QCP) and train employees on it.
• Maintain database and paper documentation on compliance and accreditation programs.
