A Complex Senior Sales Manager is responsible for securing groups and conventions by building and establishing relationships with customers. Hilton seeks dynamic, well-rounded, business-minded individuals.

The complex includes Hilton Portland Downtown and The Hilton Portland Hotel.

What will I be doing?

The sales office environment is fast-paced and dynamic, offering opportunities for career growth in hospitality.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Researching, soliciting, and generating new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts to maximize revenue.
  2. Representing the hotel in developing market segments and new customer relationships, while maintaining existing accounts, to maximize revenue and profitability.
  3. Developing business strategies based on market analysis and implementing marketing initiatives to meet sales goals.
  4. Demonstrating strong sales, communication, and networking skills to understand customer needs and secure new revenue.
  5. Applying sales skills to create customer value, differentiate Hilton, and bring value to customers and their organizations.
  6. Mastering prospecting processes, identifying potential customers, and executing call strategies.
  7. Understanding customer expectations, negotiating, and adapting to market changes.
Customer and Account Management

Engaging with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain and acquire customers.

Planning and executing outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events.

Developing and communicating business plans and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities aligned with business objectives.

Representing the hotel in customer interactions, creating proposals, and executing contracts.

Conducting site inspections tailored to customer needs.

Managing customer specifications via lead management systems and maintaining account information.

Prospecting

Generating leads through research and proactive efforts, maximizing revenue, and shifting market share from competitors.

Engaging in outside sales to uncover needs and build relationships.

Negotiations

Negotiating contracts and agreements, providing solutions that meet hotel financial goals while strengthening customer relationships.

Collaborating with Hilton Worldwide Sales and Legal teams during contracting.
