Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Manager for Complex Gas Turbine Modernization & Upgrades in Orlando to drive execution from planning through closeout.

You will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Service, Supply Chain, and Finance to manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk while meeting strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading complex projects in power generation, energy, or similar industrial environment.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and contract deliverables.
  • Strong technical, financial, and problem‑solving skills with a track record of delivering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex Gas Turbine Modernization & Upgrades projects from kickoff to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget compliance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Service, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive execution.
  • Monitor costs, forecasts, and financial performance; identify and address risks.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, provide updates, manage expectations, and support issue resolution.
  • Track materials, schedules, and deliverables to ensure outage planning and smooth execution.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Project Manager for Complex Gas Turbine Modernization & Upgrades projects, your day is focused on driving the successful execution of high-value, technically complex customer projects from planning through closeout. You will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Service, and Finance to ensure project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk are effectively managed while meeting strategic business objectives. Act as the primary customer liaison, build strong relationships, manage expectations, resolve technical and commercial challenges, and provide clear stakeholder communication at all levels. You will also oversee project financials, mitigate risks, maintain rigorous documentation, and coordinate critical deliverables to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful implementation of gas turbine modernization and upgrade solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Lead complex Gas Turbine Modernization & Upgrades projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring delivery meets scope, schedule, and within budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Service, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive project execution and resolve issues.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial performance while identifying and addressing risks before they impact delivery.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, providing project updates, managing expectations, and supporting issue resolution.
  • Track critical materials, schedules, and deliverables to ensure smooth project execution and successful outage planning.
  • Drive technical issue resolution by partnering with subject matter experts and field teams to maintain project progress.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, contract deliverables, and status reporting using SAP and project management tools.
What you Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading complex projects in power generation, energy, or a similar industrial environment; PMP certification preferred.
  • Candidates with more experience can be considered for ahigher level or vice versa.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and contract deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong technical, financial, and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving project execution and resolving challenges.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency with SAP and Project Management Information Systems (PMIS).
