Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least one year in healthcare scheduling, strong EHR skills, and meticulous, team‑oriented communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in healthcare scheduling, patient access, or care coordination.
• Proficiency with EHR and scheduling systems.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare workflows and medical terminology.
• Experience in oncology, surgical services, interventional specialties, or other complex care environments preferred.
• Excellent communication and commitment to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Schedules multiple related appointments in a specific sequence and timeframe based on clinical requirements.
• Interprets provider orders, treatment plans, and clinical workflows to ensure appointments align with care protocols.
• Proactively identifies scheduling conflicts, delays, or barriers and coordinates with clinical and operational teams to resolve them.
• Serves as a liaison between patients, providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure care plans are executed as intended.
• Escalates urgent or time-sensitive scheduling issues to maintain continuity of care.
• Documents scheduling activities in the EHR and scheduling systems with accuracy.
• Ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and departmental guidelines.
• Identifies opportunities to improve scheduling workflows and patient experience.
