Job summary

REACH, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a Complex Medical DSP role in Juneau, AK. This in‑person, full-time position offers hands‑on care to an individual with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs in a home setting.

Responsibilities include personal care, health-related supports, and following individualized care plans. Training is provided, with scheduling options including day, evening, and awake overnight shifts.

Qualifications

18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Compassionate, dependable, and attentive to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn specialized medical support techniques.
Ability to provide personal care and hands‑on assistance.
Ability to work independently while following established procedures.

Responsibilities

Providing full assistance with daily personal care routines.
Safe transfers using a Hoyer lift and other adaptive equipment.
Assisting with catheter care, including monitoring and cleaning around the site.
Providing G-tube care and administering tube feedings as required.
Supporting communication through ASL and other methods.
Assisting with daily range-of-motion exercises and mobility routines.
Maintaining detailed documentation and medication records.
Following individualized support plans and health care protocols.
Helping create a safe, respectful home environment.
