Job summary

Koch Foods is seeking an experienced leader to supervise and coordinate complex production activities, ensuring profitability, quality, and safety. You will guide managers, approve staffing, and oversee capital projects to drive performance across feeds, hatcheries, grow-out and plant operations.

Applicants should have a strong background in poultry operations, extensive leadership experience, and expertise in Excel and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science or related field required.
• 10+ years experience in poultry industry
• 3+ years experience in Feed Mill, Hatchery, Grow-out and Plant Operations
• Expert computer skills and spreadsheet formulation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of the complex to produce profitable, quality products in a safe, timely manner.
• Coordinate production units to meet complex goals with minimal waste or rework.
• Establish complex objectives and identify requirements to meet production needs.
• Provide leadership to foster a safe environment and good neighbor policy with the community.
• Develop managers for promotion to higher levels of responsibility.
• Evaluate capital projects for feasibility.
• Approve salaried hires and oversee salaries and wages.
• Ensure food safety, food quality, and legality.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

• Coordinate production units to achieve company-wide and individual complex goals with a minimum amount of waste or rework.
• Establish complex objectives, identifying the requirements to meet production needs.
• Provide leadership and direction in establishing a safe environment and a "Good Neighbor" policy with the community.
• Provide direction and assist in the development of managers for promotion to higher levels of responsibility.
• Evaluate capital projects to determine feasibility.
• Approve all salaried hires, overseeing complex's salaries and wages.
• Responsible for food safety, food quality, and legality.
• All other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science or other related field of study required
• 10+ years experience in poultry industry
• 3+ years experience in Feed Mill, Hatchery, Grow-out and Plant Operations
• Expert computer skills and knowledge of creating and formulating spreadsheets.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Exposure to damp, wet and cold environments.
• Regularly lift 25+ lbs.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
