Aspen Careers is partnering with a well-established national law firm with a strong Ohio presence to identify a Complex Litigation Associate for its Columbus office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 4–6 years of litigation experience who wants to handle sophisticated disputes, build stronger client relationships, and continue developing their courtroom and case-management skills.

The practice offers a diverse mix of litigation, including complex commercial disputes, labor and employment matters, and third-party tort and professional malpractice claims. This position is separate from the firm's energy litigation practice and is ideal for an attorney who enjoys variety and wants exposure to multiple types of complex matters.

The Ideal Candidate

• 4–6 years of meaningful litigation experience.
• Experience handling complex commercial, business, employment, tort, professional liability, malpractice, or other sophisticated civil litigation.
• Strong experience with legal research, written discovery, motion practice, and legal briefing.
• Experience taking or defending depositions and participating in hearings or other court proceedings is strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage significant portions of litigation matters with increasing independence.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Comfortable working directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
