Confidential Employer in Cleveland, OH seeks a mid-level litigation associate with 3+ years of sophisticated experience to manage complex commercial and employment matters. You will develop strategy, draft key pleadings, and take ownership of matters from start to resolution.

You will work alongside seasoned attorneys in a boutique setting that emphasizes responsibility, client interaction, and hands-on courtroom exposure, with a hybrid schedule and relocation options for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sophisticated litigation experience.
• Experience handling complex commercial/business litigation, employment litigation, or white-collar defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Experience handling substantive discovery and motion practice.
• Ability to take meaningful ownership of complex matters with limited training.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission.
• BigLaw or MidLaw litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong academic credentials preferred.
• Trial or arbitration experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated commercial and business litigation matters from early case assessment through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and take meaningful ownership of assigned matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other substantive litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex factual and legal issues.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients and develop trusted client relationships.
• Work closely with experienced attorneys on complex commercial disputes and other sophisticated litigation.
• Manage deadlines, discovery, motion practice, and competing case priorities.
• Contribute to employment litigation and white-collar matters depending on experience and interest.
