Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a mid-level associate (4-6 years) to join our complex litigation group, defending clients in high-stakes matters with emphasis on product liability and commercial issues in aviation and transportation. This position is open to all US offices.

The candidate should have excellent writing, experience across all litigation stages, strong academic credentials, and a client-service orientation. Clerkship experience, especially appellate, is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and superior academic credentials.
• 4–6 years of experience in complex litigation, including pre-trial discovery and trials.
• Strong writing skills demonstrated by clerkship, law review, moot court or publication.
• Willingness to deliver excellent client service and a client-centered practice.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues including contractual, jurisdictional, choice-of-law, and admiralty law.
• Clerkship at appellate level strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle all stages of litigation from pre-trial discovery to trial.

We are seeking a mid-level associate (4-6 years of experience) to join our complex litigation group, defending clients in high-stakes, complex litigation matters of national and international significance, with an emphasis on product liability and commercial matters involving the aviation and transportation industry sectors. This position is open to all US offices.

Successful Candidates Will Have

• Excellent writing skills, demonstrated by experience gained through a clerkship, law review, moot court or publication;
• Experience with all stages of litigation, including pre-trial discovery, motions practice, working with experts, and trial;
• Superior academic credentials;
• Willingness to commit to excellent client service and a client-centered practice;
• Comfort with analyzing complex legal issues, for example contractual, jurisdictional, choice-of-law, and admiralty law issues;
• Clerkship experience, especially at the appellate level, is strongly preferred.

Annual Compensation Range: $310,000 to 390,000
