Confidential Employer in Cleveland, OH, seeks a mid-to-senior-level litigation attorney to handle sophisticated commercial and employment matters. You will take meaningful ownership from early case assessment through resolution, with direct client contact and opportunities to shape strategy.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of complex litigation and strong research/writing skills, with exposure to discovery, motions, and potential trial or arbitration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sophisticated litigation experience.
• Meaningful experience handling sophisticated complex commercial litigation, business litigation, employment litigation, or white-collar defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Experience handling substantive discovery and motion practice.
• Trial or arbitration experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated commercial and business litigation matters from early case assessment through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and take meaningful ownership of assigned matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other substantive litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex factual and legal issues.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients and develop trusted client relationships.
• Work closely with experienced attorneys on complex commercial disputes and other sophisticated litigation.
• Manage deadlines, discovery, motion practice, and competing case priorities.
• Contribute to employment litigation and white-collar matters depending on experience and interest.
