Job summary

Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool to support patient care across medical/surgical units. You will be part of a collaborative team, influencing care decisions alongside managers and hospital councils.

The role emphasizes nursing process delivery, oversight of LPNs and support staff, and adaptability to specialty areas such as vascular, wound care, GI, ophthalmology, and bariatric surgeries.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate RN license.
• Current BLS with American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Current ACLS with American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• BSN desirable.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing care to the general medical/surgical populations using the nursing process.
• Care for vascular, wound care, GI, ophthalmology and bariatric surgeries.
• Oversees and directs the care of LPNs and assistive personnel, maintaining accountability for care.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse Float Pool (RN) position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical care to meet the needs of the whole person.

What you will do in this role:

• The Acute Care RN is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to the general medical/surgical populations utilizing the nursing process.
• Special populations include vascular, wound care, GI, ophthalmology and bariatric surgeries.
• Oversees and directs the care of LPNs and assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.
• When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS with American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Current ACLS with American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• BSN desirable.
• Two or more years of acute RN experience required.
• No travel required, this position is a facility float.
