Founded in 1984 as American Academy of Gymnastics, American Kids Sports Center (AKSC) has grown into one of California's most unique and successful kids sports center. American Kids Sports Center, located in Bakersfield, California, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Competitive Team Coach to join our dynamic team. As a leading sports center in the region, we are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children to develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their athletic goals.

What you'll do

• Conduct regular team practices, focusing on skill development, technique refinement, and routine preparation.
• Design and implement training programs that align with individual athlete needs and team objectives.
• Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed about team activities, progress, and performance expectations.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, adhering to all relevant guidelines and protocols.

Coach Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience
• Strong knowledge of tumbling & trampoline techniques, skills, and routines across various levels.
• Proven track record of developing athletes and achieving competitive success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with athletes, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to spot beginning to intermediate level skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in tumbling and trampoline coaching.
• USAG certification is required.
