Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ, seeks a seasoned Competitive Intelligence Team Lead to guide a high-performing CI group delivering insights across R&D, Human Health, Business Development and the wider Enterprise.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to set strategic CI priorities, ensure ethical practices, and help advance enterprise-wide intelligence capabilities that support portfolio decisions and growth.

Qualifications

Advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD, or equivalent) required.
15+ years in biotech/pharma with strong people management.
Strong scientific understanding across therapeutic areas.
Broad knowledge of global pharma/biotech and drug development processes.
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with senior leaders to align CI needs with business objectives.
Lead and develop a team of Competitive Intelligence Leads with coaching and growth opportunities.
Prioritize resources for high-value opportunities while maintaining quality and ethics.
Sponsor and guide global CI initiatives and enterprise-wide strategic assessments.
