Qualifications

• Prefer previous coaching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to relate to young athletes and serve as a positive role model.
• Experience working with multi-cultural and racially diverse student/athletes.
• Outstanding communication abilities.
• Ability to establish reasonable and consistent expectations for performance and conduct of students/athletes.
• Willingness to make a year-round commitment to the program.
• Demonstrated ability to direct and work with cohesive staff.
• Ability to practice after school beginning at 3:00 PM each day.

Responsibilities

• Coach the Union High Competitive Cheer program and oversee practices and competitions.
• Maintain positive relationships with athletes, parents, and school staff.
• Ensure safety and discipline guidelines are followed during all activities.
