Job summary

Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking help to prepare and maintain competition venues for training, races and events. The role offers seasonal part-time and occasional opportunities with compensation at $20.00 per hour.

You will join a team dedicated to supporting Stratton’s athletes, ensuring safety and quality in all venues, with ongoing recruitment through December. Weekend and holiday work is required.

Qualifications

• US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA membership recommended.
• Current Safesport, CPR and First Aid and CDC Heads Up Concussion required.
• Ski or snowboard at an expert level.
• Experience with signage, fencing, and racing gates.
• Knowledge of US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA rules and regulations.
• Venue maintenance experience per US Ski & Snowboard/USASA criteria recommended (official credential recommended for timing/race roles).

Responsibilities

• Prepare venues as needed for training.
• Build, maintain, and tear down all race, competition and event venues.
• Maintain guest and employee rapport to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Protect assets and manage inventory.
• Supervise venues to ensure athlete safety during training.
• Maintain safety standards and code compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Competition Venue Staff position supports Stratton competition athletes through the creation and maintenance of world-class venues for training and events. There are seasonal part-time and occasional opportunities available. The compensation for this role is $20.00hr

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

Essential Duties

• Prepare venues as needed for training
• Help to build, maintain, and tear down all race, competition and event venues
• Maintain excellent guest and employee rapport and ensure customer satisfaction remains at the highest level possible
• Maintain appropriate asset protection and inventory control
• Supervise training venues to ensure safety while athletes are training
• Maintain the highest safety standards and code compliance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements

• US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA membership, recommended.
• Current Safesport, CPR and First Aid and CDC Heads Up Concussion, required.
• Ski or snowboard at an expert level
• Previous experience working with signage, fencing, and racing gates
• Knowledge and understanding of US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA rules and regulations
• Previous experience maintaining venues in accordance with criteria set by US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA, recommended
• US Ski and Snowboard officials credential or higher, recommended (required for timing and race administration roles)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be required to work weekends and holidays.
