Scion Nonprofit Staffing has engaged us to fill a Compensation Specialist role for a mission-driven nonprofit in Illinois. The position is hybrid in Des Plaines with three onsite days (Tue–Thu) and two remote days (Mon & Fri). You will design and administer compensation programs to attract, retain, and engage talent across the organization.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable partnering with HR and senior leadership in a nonprofit setting.
Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Compensation Specialist for a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and communities throughout Illinois . This is a contract-to-hire, hybrid opportunity based in Des Plaines, IL , with three days onsite Tuesday–Thursday and two days remote Monday and Friday. The Compensation Specialist will support the design, development, implementation, and administration of organization-wide compensation programs that help attract, motivate, and retain talented employees. This role will analyze compensation data, provide guidance on pay practices, support job architecture and market analysis initiatives, and help ensure compensation programs remain competitive, equitable, and compliant. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable partnering across HR and senior leadership in a mission-driven environment.
This position offers $30–$34 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule consisting of three days onsite and two days remote each week. Additional benefit information will be shared during the interview process.
