Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) in Sugar Land, TX, seeks a Compensation Analyst to partner with HR, Finance, Payroll and leadership to develop competitive compensation programs, maintain internal equity, and deliver workforce analytics.

The role transforms ADP Workforce Now data into executive dashboards, supports salary administration, planning, and growth, and requires advanced Excel skills within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of compensation analysis experience, incl. 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Advanced Excel proficiency with PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS.
• Experience with market pricing, salary surveys, and internal equity analysis.
• Strong analytical, presentation, written, and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead compensation analysis for promotions, market adjustments, merit increases, transfers, and new hire offers.
• Review and edit internal job descriptions for market alignment.
• Conduct compensation benchmarking and salary surveys.
• Maintain salary structures, pay grades, and guidelines.
• Develop executive dashboards and HR metrics using ADP data.
• Create recurring reports for headcount, turnover, compensation, and labor costs.
• Present workforce analytics and compensation recommendations to HR and leadership.
• Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Operations on strategic reports.
