Job summary

Ferrero is seeking a Compensation Director for North America to design and govern reward policies, oversee the annual compensation cycle, and lead mobility and expatriate programs. You will partner with HR and business leaders to attract, retain and motivate top talent in NA.

Reporting to the Rewards leadership, you will supervise two direct reports and drive benchmarking, job evaluation and data accuracy, while aligning with Ferrero’s group principles and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10–12 years experience in Rewards and/or HRIS.
  • SAP and/or SuccessFactors experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Korn Ferry Hay Group job grading methodology.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; strong data presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee design, development and deployment of local reward policies and ad hoc programs (Sales Incentives, Top Talents, Retention plans), aligned with Group principles.
  • Partner with HR and Talent Managers on compensation and recognition to support lifecycle events.
  • Lead the annual compensation cycle including benchmarking and merit planning, ensuring data accuracy and timely communications.
  • Manage company incentive plans including design, communication, administration and accruals.
  • Partner with HR and Business stakeholders to support job evaluation for new/existing roles using aligned methodologies.
  • Research legislative governance, local market trends and industry best practices to enhance Ferrero’s competitive position.
  • Support mobility and compensation terms for international employees relocating to North America on short- and long-term assignments.
  • Steward relationships with external partners/consultants for compensation and mobility services.
  • Supervise the work of 2 direct reports in Compensation and Mobility.

About the Role:

We have a current opening for a Compensation Director and are actively reviewing applications.The Compensation Director on our North America Rewards team plays a key role in creating policies that attract, retain, and motivate talent while maintaining Ferrero’s core values. The role will be responsible for business partnering on compensation and recognition topics, leading the year-end compensation cycle, overseeing mobility and expatriate compensation programs, supporting the personnel budgeting process, steering our benchmarking and job evaluation processes, and spearheading other Rewards projects and initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee design, development and deployment of local Reward policies and ad hoc programs (Sales Incentives, Top Talents, Retention plans, etc…), in alignment with Group principles
  • Partner with HR and Talent Managers on compensation and recognition topics to support attraction, retention, development and/or separation of employees across the employment life-cycle
  • Lead the annual compensation cycle (including benchmarking activities, merit planning and bonus accrual), while maintaining responsibility for data accuracy, communications, trainings and timelines.
  • Manage company incentive plans, including design, communication, administration and financial accruals
  • Partner with HR and Business stakeholders to support the job evaluation process for new and existing roles based on aligned methodologies.
  • Conduct research on legislative governance, local market trends and industry best practices to advance Ferrero’s competitive advantage
  • Support the mobility and compensation terms of international employees relocating to North America on short-term and long-term assignments.
  • Steward the relationship with key external partners or consultants that support the company in compensation and mobility services
  • Supervise the work of 2 direct reports in the Compensation and Mobility area.
About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 10-12 years experience minimum in Rewards and/or HRIS
  • Previous SAP and/or Success Factors experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with the Korn Ferry / Hay Group job grading methodology
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite; high level utility of Microsoft Excel and Power Point required
  • Ability to effectively read, analyze and interpret information, summarize and present data to leadership.
  • Comfortable presenting in front of audiences or navigating through high-stakes conversations

The base compensation range for this position is $142,000 - 190,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
