Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • 1–3 years of HR experience in a generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, including hires, terminations, leaves, and payroll updates.
  • Monitor headcount, KPI metrics, and staffing needs across the organization.
  • Advise employees and leaders on investigations, corrective actions, and employee relations.
  • Provide coaching to supervisors on HR best practices, recruitment, performance, and engagement.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for hourly and salary roles, including screening and interviews.
  • Administer leave programs (FMLA, disability, parental leave) and ensure smooth returns-to-work.
  • Manage employee uniforms, inventory, distribution, and vendor coordination.
  • Coordinate employee communications and support organizational development and compensation benchmarking.

We have a current opening for an HR Coordinator and are actively reviewing applications.

This position provides operational and employee support across a broad range of HR functions. Serving as a key link between daily HR activities and strategic business objectives, the role partners closely with employees, leaders, and cross-functional teams to deliver effective HR solutions. The position is responsible for ensuring consistent application of HR policies, programs, and practices while identifying opportunities to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall employee experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, including hires, terminations, employee changes, leave tracking, and payroll-related updates.
  • Monitor key employee lifecycle activities such as headcount reporting and KPI metrics.
  • Support employee relations by advising employees and leadership, conducting investigations, assisting with corrective actions, assisting with terminations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors on HR best practices, including investigations, recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Lead and support recruitment efforts for hourly and salary roles, including resume screening, interviewing, and hiring recommendations.
  • Administer leave management programs (FMLA, disability, parental leave, and accommodations), partnering with employees, managers, and vendors to ensure compliance and smooth return-to-work processes.
  • Manage employee uniforms, including ordering, inventory control, distribution, vendor coordination, and record maintenance.
  • Coordinate employee communications and engagement initiatives while supporting organizational development, compensation benchmarking, quality, food safety, and environmental compliance programs.
About You:
  • Associate’s degree required, Bachelors preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in HR
  • Solid generalist experience in the execution of all facets of human resources, with a particular emphasis on Analytics, Recruitment and Retention, Employee Relations and Employee Communications.
  • Knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, leave administration, HR operations, and employment compliance.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitive information.
  • Ability to secure commitment and support management for human resources initiatives.
  • Experience in implementing human resources programs in a constantly changing, dynamic environment.
  • Proven skill in conflict resolution, with solid problem-solving and group facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage HR processes independently while escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Able to work effectively with partners and staff on projects, office events and activities towards maintaining/strengthening our culture.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff. Hands on approach.
