Job summary

Ember Grey in Missouri is seeking an experienced Compensation Benefits Manager to lead compensation, benefits, and HR systems strategy for a premier industrial organization. The role focuses on designing data‑driven total rewards programs aligned with business objectives and workforce needs.

You will oversee benefits, compensation frameworks, and HR analytics across multiple sites, partnering with HR, Finance, and Legal to drive budgeting, compliance, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing total rewards programs.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA).
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s total rewards strategy aligned with business goals and enterprise-wide philosophy.
  • Oversee all benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness, leave administration, and annual open enrollment.
  • Manage compensation frameworks, including salary structures, job architecture, and annual merit and incentive cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Analyze market data, internal metrics, and program performance to maintain competitive positioning and drive improvements.
  • Lead employee communication and education initiatives related to compensation and benefits offerings.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Legal teams on budgeting, compliance, and strategic planning.
  • Support M&A activity through due diligence and integration of total rewards programs.
  • Continuously enhance HR systems, reporting capabilities, and KPI tracking.
