Job summary

Donaldson Company, Inc. is seeking a Compensation and People Analytics Intern to join its HR team for a 10–12 week program at our Bloomington, MN campus.

You will transform compensation data into insights that influence talent strategies, reward programs, and organizational effectiveness through real-world projects and mentorship. Qualified candidates are rising juniors in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Mathematics, HR, or Business Analytics with strong Excel skills and a 3.0

Qualifications

  • Current junior/3rd year undergraduate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics or Mathematics, Human Resources, Business Analytics or related field.
  • Experience in statistical testing, building models and validation testing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis.
  • Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 cumulative GPA.

Responsibilities

  • Drive an analytical project to define and measure Leadership through statistical methodologies, including validation testing (e.g. adverse impact analysis, calibration and interaction testing, etc.).
  • Make modifications to People Analytics & Insights owned dashboards in Workday.
  • Support PA&I team operating metrics and provide recommendations to enhance operating model.
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing compensation data from internal HR systems and external survey sources.
  • Support the review and documentation of job descriptions.
  • Help maintain job architecture and job catalog information.
  • Participate in market pricing projects and compensation benchmarking exercises.
  • Participate in special projects related to compensation, Total Rewards, and HR analytics.

Join Donaldson’s HR team supporting Compensation and People Analytics teams and gain a front‑row seat to how data‑driven insights shape workforce and business decisions. In this Compensation and People Analytics & Insights Intern role, you'll help transform people and compensation data into meaningful insights that influence talent strategies, reward programs, and organizational effectiveness across a global company. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on‑site schedule at our Bloomington, MN office.

Role Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current junior/3rd year (rising senior) undergraduate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics or Mathematics, Human Resources, Business Analytics or related field.
  • Experience in statistical testing, building models and validation testing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis.
  • Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in psychometrics.
  • Ability to explain highly technical results in a succinct and simplified way.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles and market benchmarking concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - 28.00, depending on projected undergraduate graduation date, educational degree in progress and major of study upon time of hire. This position is overtime eligible as per state and federal regulations.
