Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Compensation Analyst to help develop and administer base pay, incentive plans, and salary structures that attract and retain a diverse, talented workforce. You will analyze job data, participate in market surveys, and partner with HR and business leaders to ensure competitive pay practices while maintaining compliance and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

Foundational knowledge of compensation principles and processes including market pricing and annual compensation planning.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field; CCP certification (in progress or attained) is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in compensation or a related area.
Ability to uphold confidentiality and work with sensitive job and pay-related data.
Experience with market pricing software (MarketPay or Payscale) is a plus.
Experience with HRIS and compensation data management.
Experience administering annual merit cycles and compensation planning software.
Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.

Responsibilities

Performs compensation, job and associate data analyses and provides guidance that is affordable, internally equitable, and externally competitive.
Assists in the administration of annual merit and pay-for-performance programs; prepares merit matrices and related communications.
Assists in administration of annual short-term incentive programs; analyzes current state and recommends harmonization and standardization.
Analyzes benchmarking data and leads automation and process improvements within MarketPay and ERI.
Leads participation in third-party compensation surveys and analyzes internal/external trends.
Prepares budget impact analyses and recommendations for salary administration programs; assesses associate level impact.
Maintains company job descriptions and provides coaching in job description development.
Prepares recurring and ad hoc compensation reports and presentations.
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Participates in Benefits projects and other special assignments as needed.
