Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC in Minneapolis is seeking a Compensation Analyst to administer, analyze, and continuously improve compensation programs, including market pricing, job evaluations, and reporting to ensure competitive, equitable pay practices.

The role partners with the Compensation Manager, Total Rewards, HR, and Talent Acquisition to provide data-driven analyses and maintain compensation data integrity across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, business, finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of compensation or HR administration experience, preferably in construction.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with data-driven decision making.
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation management systems; market pricing helpful.

About The Position

Responsible for supporting the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of compensation programs across the company. This position will conduct market pricing, job evaluations, compensation analyses, reporting, and compensation process administration to help ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant pay practices. Partners with the Compensation Manager, Total Rewards, Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition to provide data-driven compensation analyses, maintain compensation data integrity, and support company-wide compensation programs and initiatives. Contributes to compensation projects and process improvements in support of organizational growth in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations.

Day in the Life
  • Conduct market pricing analysis for new and existing jobs using compensation survey data, and maintain documentation on pricing and benchmark job information.
  • Assist with job evaluations and position benchmark matching. Review job descriptions and prepare compensation-related recommendations regarding job leveling and pay placement.
  • Prepare compensation analyses to support hiring, promotions, transfers, reorganizations, and retention requests.
  • Analyze internal equity and market competitiveness and identify potential pay issues for management review.
  • Assist in evaluating external market competitiveness and developing analyses to support decisions regarding salary structures, salary ranges, salary grades, geographic differentials, and market positioning.
  • Participate in compensation surveys by gathering, validating, and submitting organizational compensation data, to ensure access to relevant market data for all benchmark positions.
  • Compile survey results and assist in the analysis of market trends and competitive practices.
  • Support the administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, geographic differentials, merit increases, bonus programs, and other pay-related initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining compensation guidelines, procedures, and documentation.
  • Support the annual compensation review process by preparing data, auditing recommendations, validating system information, and assisting with reporting.
  • Monitor compensation planning activities and identify discrepancies for resolution.
  • Assist HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Partners, and managers with compensation process questions and system support. Develop, maintain, and analyze compensation reports, dashboards, and key workforce metrics.
  • Compile, audit, and validate compensation data from HRIS and other systems for reporting, analysis, and compensation decision support.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of data housed in compensation-specific databases and systems.
  • Analyzes data for accuracy, trends, and patterns with attention to compensation and compliance.
  • Support compensation compliance activities by maintaining records, conducting data audits, and preparing information required for regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure compensation actions are processed consistently and in accordance with company policies. Help ensure compensation programs are administered in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
  • Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.
  • Promotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and providing high quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Business, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in compensation or HR administration, preferably in a construction or related business.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience analyzing HR, compensation, workforce, and market data to identify trends, ensure data accuracy, and support decision-making. Demonstrated attention to detail and critical
  • thinking skills with the ability to audit, validate, and maintain data.
  • Experience working with human capital management and compensation management systems; experience with market pricing and compensation survey tools preferred.
  • Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal skills. Highly effective communicator, team player, and collaborator, with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas and concepts while building effective working relationships across teams and functions.
  • Basic project management experience and skills. Strong process orientation.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including high-quality documentation and report preparation.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and dependability, with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when working with sensitive employee, compensation, and business information. Working
  • knowledge of compensation-related laws, regulations, and pay practices to support compliant compensation administration.
  • Ability to manage workflows and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Travel
  • Occasional travel may be required.
Salary Range
  • $74,600-$104,400 annually, based on experience and qualifications
