Job summary

You will follow driving laws, communicate with dispatch and EMS, maintain vehicles, complete reports, and assess patient suitability for transport, with an emphasis on safety and professional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Respond to transportation requests and drive wheelchair vans in all road conditions.
• Follow laws, policies and communicate with dispatchers, EMS crews and first responders.
• Maintain vehicles and keep equipment clean; complete checklists.
• Report discrepancies in writing; ensure vehicle readiness.
• Assess patient transport suitability and document care reports.
• Work under high-stress conditions and in inclement weather.
• Other duties as assigned.
